Future Technology: the right skills in the right environment

A small, flexible and multi-skilled team has allowed us to create a cost-cutting and green solution for offshore wind power in a short time.

Future Technology is a small company with around 50 employees who together cover a wide range of specialist skills.

From day one, our focus has been on innovation and giving our team the space to develop their ideas to fruition.

Small team means flexibility

Our size and our people’s competencies have allowed us the flexibility to quickly pour resources into brilliant ideas.

3 keys to success

1. Small, flexible team

2. Broad, cross-discipline skills

3. Ability to move from petroleum to renewables

We have expertise across a range of relevant engineering disciplines, including power systems, materials, flow assurance, technical safety, reliability and project management.

From petroleum to renewables

Many of our team members have experience from the oil and gas sector, bringing important skills that are transferable to the world of renewables.

The development of the FSCC subsea cooler for offshore wind installations is a perfect example of how companies originally serving the petroleum industry can switch to developing green solutions for the future.

Financing know-how

Our team also has experience and knowledge of how to secure the necessary financial funding to get great ideas off the ground and into the real world.

This has helped secure investments for the FSCC from both the industry including Lundin Energy Norway, the state sector in Norway and EU policy-makers.
